I Hate Cable
Who actually likes their cable provider? No one.
If you have the time (typical call is 20 minutes) and the diplomacy on the phone, you can ask for deals from your cable provider (and never have to change cable companies).
Why? The mere threat of changing to their #1 competitor can save you up to $50 a month. They are always running specials that the existing customer may not know about.
Note: This same bargaining technique also applies to your monthly rent and even your salary (electric bill, not so much).
