Taking Risks and Marriage

Leave it to the Wall Street Journal to look at the business side of marital bickering.

In an interesting account of business and marriage, the author equates arguing to risk taking. Why? It’s risky, in some ways, to argue. You risk getting upset. You risk getting into a fight so big that someone throws their soup bowl at you.

In an experiment the author tries arguing, risk taking, with her spouse. And in the process, she realizes how arguing can be productive and creates-not a raging screaming match- but rather a rational win-win for both parties. It’s a good lesson in how to fight fair, and win.
