Top 5: Banker Bars in New York City

Where to go when you want to talk about the Bulls and the Bears in the only city that matters (according to them)?

5. Del Friscos. Midtown expense account crowd. It’s a chain, but that doesn’t seem to hurt the crowds.

4. 21 Club. Old school for the old pros and the young and aspiring who swear by the cheeseburger. Sport coats, check.

3. Dorrians (Red Hand). Upper East Side. For the analyst to associate crowd and the sorority type. Girls who think they are going to find the next Gordan Gecko.  Same for Brother Jimmy’s on the Upper East Side.

2. Smith and Wollensky Grill Room. Known as simply ” the grill.” Way more lively then attached main restaurant– TVs and massive drinks. Bartenders do the whole hand shake and repeat your name routine. Tired but darn good, gotta give it to them.

1. Grand Havana Room. You need a membership, but it seems someone always has one. Power suits. It borders on over the top, but a great view of park and the “most interesting man” (Dos Equis guy) hangs out there amongst other household names.
